Training
of Scheduled Caste Law Graduates in Administration of
Justice. |
Introduction |
The
State Govt. has observed that sufficient number of
Scheduled Caste Law Graduates are not taking up this profession
because of lack of financial support. Government ,
therefore considered that new Scheduled Caste Law
Graduates be provided financial assistance and facility
for training in the Administration of Justice. |
Scheme |
The
selected Scheduled Caste Law Graduates are paid a
stipend of Rs. 1000/- per month , and the period of
training is 4 years. |
Description |
- Training is given in
the respective districts.
- The selection of
candidates is made at the District Level by a
Selection Committee under the Chairmanship of the
Deputy Commissioner. The selected candidates will be
attached to the District Public Prosecutor /
Government advocate or any Advocate who has put in
not less than 20 years of service in the profession,
for the purpose of training.
- The Member Secretary
will, with the approval of the committee, invite
applications from law graduates belonging to
Scheduled Caste after announcement of Law Degree
examination results by the concerned University.
Notification for calling of applications will be
given wide publicity. It will be published in the
Karnataka Gazette and in the newspapers. The
Notification will also be displayed on the notice
boards of the offices of the District Social Welfare
Officers, Deputy Commissioner, Zilla Panchayat and
District Bar Associations.
- Last date for receipt
of applications will be one month, from the date of
publication in the Gazette
- The applications
received will be scrutinized by the
Member-Secretary. Incomplete applications / belated
applications , which do not fulfill all the
requirements, will be rejected.
- The training period
is 4 years and the selected candidates shall not
leave the training in the middle. This condition
shall not apply if the candidate gets an appointment
in the State Govt./ Central Govt.
- The selected
candidates have to submit monthly diary duly
attested by their Senior Advocate.

Eligibility |
- The maximum age limit
shall be 35 years, as on the last date fixed for
receipt of the applications
- The Scheduled Caste
candidates have to apply within 2 years of their Law
Graduation.
- Candidates should
have registered their names in the Bar Council.

the prescribed proforma issued by competent
authority.
- Law Graduation
Certificate.
- Age proof (SSLC marks
card or School Leaving Certificate).
